Wellness Shot For Flu Season

This is literally a shot of pure and potent nutrients straight from nature. Take it the second you are starting to feel sick. It works miracles with its anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 fresh organic lemons
  • 1 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
  • A dash of turmeric powder or an inch of fresh turmeric root
  • A dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1-3 drops oil of oregano (You can also use 1 drop of therapeutic grade oregano essential oil. Not to be confused with oregano oil, as the potency is very different.)
  • Fresh ginger (1-2 inches)

CAUTION: This will burn when you drink it, as it’s part of the magic that entails killing off germs. If you are highly sensitive, use only one drop or oregano and 1 inch of ginger. Also, skip the Cayenne.

Try to be a trooper and just take the shot though, as it is well worth it. I find that eating a slice of apple right after shooting it down helps a lot. Otherwise, try chasing it with some orange juice. The best time to take them is right when you’re starting to feel a cold coming on, but honestly, taking one of these once a day will keep you from getting sick in the first place. If you’re already sick, try drinking one of these shots in the morning and one at night to help you get better faster.

If you do not have a juicer, you can simply squeeze the lemons instead and skip the ginger. I would then recommend to mix it all with about 1/4 cup of water or freshly squeezed orange juice.

Prefer the non-shot version of this? That may be preferable for those of you who are ultra sensitive. Skip the juicer (except for the ginger if possible), and add it all to tea along with a tbsp of raw honey. Again, you can just squeeze one lemon into it.

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar-

Apple Cider supplies much needed probiotics (but only if you buy the raw kind) and will even aid allergies and the symptoms associated with them.

Turmeric-

Turmeric attacks bacterial infections and viruses, especially those that relate to anything respiratory. It relieves pain, is anti-inflammatory, relieves water retention, fights colds, and boosts immunity.

Oil of Oregano-

POTENT and a sure fire way to knock a cold flat in no time. It is a natural antibiotic that can be used for any type of cold. Oregano oil doesn’t kill your good bacteria like conventional antibiotics do! Oregano oil is much stronger than Echinacea. It is highly antibacterial and antimicrobial, thereby being very effective against viruses.

Lemon-

First off, it’s packed with Vitamin C! However, fresh raw lemon juice is also a blood purifier, a detoxifier for the liver and kidneys, strengthens the immune system and fights infection, making it one of the best natural remedies for colds and cough.

Ginger-

Ginger eliminates congestion, kills bacteria, eases throat pain and inflammation, combats fever and chills, soothes upset stomach, relieves digestive ailments, cleanses the blood, and eases pain!

Cayenne-

It’s effective at treating fevers, poor circulation, digestive complaints like bloating and nausea, inflammation, sore throats, headaches, menstrual cramps, and even toothaches. Cayenne is also a great expectorant and will greatly shorten the length of colds and flu.
